It's not been easy to give out my feelings exactly during the days working for ArrAy. Since the day I joined, I've been working on one of the most challenging projects in the company, in which you could have many opportunities to learn, and even work on, the most exciting part of today's software industry, the OS kernels. Besides, there are some new technologies involved in the projects that can satisfy different people's different interests, such as J2EE, network security, blade server, etc, because we are doing outsourcing! We have and will have many different projects dealing with different kind of techniques. This is one of the reasons that I enjoy working here. You'll never feel boring when you're poking around and talking to other folks in other projects. Also, in the company, you will have much more freedom doing development which you cannot experience in some other traditional ones. So, do I have any complaints? Yes, I have. I hope I could work on several projects simultaneously! |

I have been working here for more than a year. Since ArrAy is a software outsourcing service firm, Engineers in ArrAy have a lot of chances to work on different kinds of projects that use different kinds of technologies. For myself, it has been 5 projects since I joined ArrAy. And each of them used different technologies, including programming language and platform, comparing with any of the others. As I remembered, I learned perl, C# and Python as well as an excellent distributed testing environment named STAF/STAX from my first 2 projects in ArrAy. I think this could be very good for a new graduated to have such kind of opportunities to experience wide range of new things in their real projects and learn from both what they are doing and the experienced people that they are working with. In ArrAy another thing that impressed me the most is the communications in teams. Usually there is a team for each project, and the team, in most of the cases, includes engineers from both ArrAy Guangzhou and ArrAy US. It's very often for us to talk to US guys by typing and voice, so here is really a good place for one to pratise his/her communication skill, especially in English. Further more, for every task in a project, there is a pair of crews helping each other to work out their task. So that, to communicate well with partners in each of one's tasks is the key to archieve. Besides of valuing team spirit, we also encourage everyone to bring out their ideas. And I just recall that in the 2nd mail that my big boss wrote to me,I was requested to work as aggressively as possible. ArrAy is not only a place for everyone to learn how to play in a team, but also a place to put one's good ideas into practice. And why not join us if you really like to learn and experience different kinds of technologies? |
